Daba Khela O Biswa Khetabi Larai by Kartik Chandra Mallik was the first chess book I read. It was published in Kolkata in Bengali but somehow I got hold of it probably from Nilkhet in Dhaka aroun d 1992. I remember how obsessed I was having this book in hand!

This was the first book on chess I had read. The detailed description of the Spassky-Fischer championship was brilliant and enough to make one fall in love with chess!
